Top 5 Dual Sim Phones

There is no doubt in the fact that dual-SIM phones can make life a lot easier. With just one single device you can connect to two different networks, have two different numbers and simultaneously talk on those two numbers as well. But, that's not what it is all about. There are some dual-SIM mobile phones out there which offer much more than that.

Below is a list of some top dual-SIM mobile phones that offer technologies you won't even find in top notch phones:

1) Micromax Gamolution (G4):

To describe this phone I need not say anything more than just pointing out the advertisement in which Akshay Kumar almost wrecks a kitchen while playing. The Micromax Gamolution mobile phone is probably the first motion sensor based mobile which can be connected to a computer via Bluetooth dongle for playing games.

Although the games are very basic and are no-where near to what Wii has to offer but still what more can one expect out of a mobile phone.

Along with this motion sensor the Gamolution features a 2.4 inch TFT display, 2 megapixel camera, multi-format AV player and a 4GB expandable memory to keep you happy.

2) Onida F880 (KY Thunder)

The name, KY THUNDER, if you remember reminds about the good o'l Onida KY thunder television. To be specific that was a very popular television to feature a subwoofer for bombastic sound.

Well, this mobile phone is synonymous to that! This mobile phone comprises a special type of speaker and circuitry to enhance the sound output. To be honest there is not much scope for mobile phones when it comes to loudspeaker and sound output, but lately we have seen a couple of phones with amazing sound clarity and output.

Apart from the sound, the phone comes with a 2 inch display screen, 3.5 mm audio jack, multi-format AV player, upto 2GB expandable memory and supports webcam function.

3) Intex iSmart

If you are a big fan of BlackBerry Bold then this blackberryish looking dual-SIM phone is bound to attract you. Intex has tried its level best to copy BB Bold as closely as possible.

The best feature of the iSmart is its track ball, similar to the ones in Blackberry devices. Although the quality of the track ball is not as refined, but so is the price.

With its full QWERTY keypad and the addition of a track ball, the Intex iSmart makes a smart impression overall. The other not so smart features include 2.2 inch TFT display, 1450mAh rechargeable battery, upto 4GB expandable memory, multi-format media player and Java support.

4) Micromax Gravity (GC700)

Even I was a little confused when I first heard the name. But why is a phone being called gravity? It’s because earth’s gravity is the active force behind the functioning of this phone. Yes you heard it right, earth’s very own gravitational pull which keeps us from bouncing off into space.

The phone has dedicated sides for both GSM and CDMA connections and whichever side is towards the ground is active. So if you need to change the network just turn the phone upside down and voila!

Other than gravity, this phone features a 7.11 cm colour TFT display touchscreen (capacitive), 2 megapixel camera, 940mAh rechargeable battery, upto 4GB expandable memory and a multi-format media player.

5) Lava A9

If I were to describe this in fewer words I would have simply described this as smartphone. Not because of its features but for its looks. Sleek metal body, borderless display and lightweight…What not.

The company has rightly decided not to target this to a particular group of people because it has got something for everyone. Media player with 8GB expandable memory for multimedia, EDGE and email support for business on the move and preinstalled Nimbuzz for on the go socializing.

Other features include a 3.2 megapixel camera, 2.4 inch TFT display, Opera Mini browser integrated, 900mAh lithium-ion battery and java support.
