Time for your best meal yet, and on the platter are dual B&O speakers, a supermassive 18.4 inch, 1080p screen, dual multi-touch-pads, one on each side of the keyboard. A fiery Intel Core i7-820 QM quad-core processor powers the NX 90 on the inside.
You get over a terabyte of storage space and 4GB of DDR3 memory, upgradable all the way upto 12GB. Playing the latest bleeding edge games at full pump on the NX 90 is a no nonsense job, thanks to the Nvidia’s GeForce GT335M graphics card.
A slot blu-ray drive inclusion means you get to watch your blu-ray collection in its glory, and if you prefer an even larger screen, you can hook it up to say a projector via the HDMI port.
It weighs a lot at 4.8 kg including a six cell battery. But you weren’t thinking of carrying this around anyways, were you? Is it worth the high price tag it comes with? Try and decide for yourself!
Design
The NX 90 is designed by award-winning Bang & Olufsen design chief, David Lewis. The craftwork is evident in the lavish and highly reflective aluminium splashed on the cover and the palmrest area.
Sound
The B&O speakers are designed and positioned in a way that the sound gets directed to the user’s ears while seated. We like the way they sound while playing music from CDs. But for movie watching, you might consider separate upgrades.
Trackpad
Two is better than one, at least here, because these two trackpads positioned on either sides of the laptop are a breeze to use. They support multi-touch and pretty much render the mouse redundant once you get used to them.
USB 3.0
Our trusty ol friend, in its brand new avatar offers ten times the speed of USB 2.0. While the current USB 2.0 standard can transfer files at a max speed of 480Mbps, USB 3.0 can push the limit all the way skywards to almost 5Gbps.
